Nearly a decade of files that I believed to be stored in a relatively safe and easy to access repository, while photobucket was free. I have 1200 photos that were uploaded from 2007-2014.
Photobucket has continuously become worse and worse over the years, but instead of learning from their mistakes, they just continue to double down. Luckily I always kept copies of my images on my computer so that I've still got them. Some never learn! So if you wish to host your images please DO keep your fingers off Photobucket. I logged on and the first thing I saw was a big red triangle telling me that I had allegedly violated company rules - which was not even true! As if that were the right way to try and win back old customers. But their company policy has, obviously, not changed. They're apparently desperate for customers. For the last few weeks I started receiving their nutty mails again. They pelted me with mails to 'upgrade' my account for a while and then it stopped. They had hidden the price in the small print. All of a sudden they wanted 400 Euro for an account that made it possible to link images to a forum. Then the first change came and they started nagging me to use a paid account which, of course, I did not. Many years ago I had started an account on Photobucket. I wish it were possible to give zero stars. I wish it were possible to give zero stars
